Dillon Nicholas Parrott is Home

Dillon Nicholas Parrott was born on Thursday March 23, 2006 at 3:39pm. He was 8 pounds 10 ounces and 20 1/2 inches long. He is perfectly healthy and looks like a miniature version of his daddy. Big Brother is not sure what to think. He is being very good to the baby though. He is just acting out a little bit for attention, but it is normal. Almost time

Ok so I went to the doc. I am dilated to a 2, 80% effaced, and having pretty strong contactions. I also have a migraine, but anyways.... They are going to induce me on Thursday or Friday. I have to call back in the morning to see what their schedule is like. So Dillon will be here by week's end. He may come sooner if my contractions keep like they are right now. I had a migraine yesterday too, so please pray that the headaches stop. I will update tomorrow and let everyone know when I am being induced for sure

stress

Was at the hospital all day for monitoring. Basically they said I am not in labor yet. That my contractions are not regular enough and are probably caused by the severe UTI that I apparently have. They gave me meds. They gave me stadol while i was there for pain. I am dilated to a 2 and 60% effaced. I talked to them about inducing and they said that they would rather wait and let me take some UTI meds for a couple of days too if possible because that could be passed into the baby's blood stream some how. I go back in the morning for a check up. I am going to talk to doc about inducing me on Monday if I have not had the baby by then. Dillon is doing ok though. My blood pressure ranged from 153/100 to 143/91. They said they are not too worried because my BP is always higher than normal. My main concern has been my tail bone. It hurts so bad all of the time and can make it hard for me to even walk sometimes. And I cant take pain meds because I have to be functional. Anywho I will keep everyone updated but no baby for now, but defintely soon. 12 days max.

Come out come out wherever you are

Ok so I have been having contractions since 10:30 last night. They were 6 minutes apart but range from 3-6 minutes. Some are very painful, some not as much. Went to the doc and she said I could go to hospital but I would just be sitting there forever so I came home to sit it out. It could be a few hours or days, so that is not encouraging. I am sweating like crazy adn feel dizzy. I also have not slept. I asked if I went ahead and went to the hospital if they would give me pitocin to speed things up and the doc said she would rather not. Any advice on how to get this going besides sex and walking, because that is not working. Anything you know that would convince a doc to use pitocin or break my water. I am dilated to a 2 and 50% effaced. Pray for me and Dillon to get through this ok. I do not mind if he is not ready to come out, but the pain is really getting to me.
